Washington, DC – Mark G. Anderson Consultants ("MGAC"), a leading independent provider of owner's representation and project management services, announced today they have been selected to manage the relocation of a government agency headquarters proposed for the new Founders Square development in the Ballston neighborhood of Arlington, Virginia. This entity is a critical research and development organization.
MGAC is recognized for its quality work on many high profile projects for corporate, institutional, cultural, and public sector clients. In addition to this client, the firm has provided project management services for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Education, multiple programs for the Department of Justice, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Defense Concessions Committee and is currently working on both the DC-based headquarters and the national field and satellite offices for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). The firm managed over $1bn in construction value in 2008 alone for clients including Eaton Corporation, Salamander Hospitality, Host Hotels & Resorts, and the Council on Foreign Relations.
This project marks the second significant Northern Virginia headquarters relocation for MGAC in 2009. In March, MGAC was selected to manage the worldwide headquarters relocation of Hilton Hotels Corporation from Beverly Hills, California to Fairfax County, Virginia. Mark Anderson, President and the firm’s founder, stated, “We are proud to be working with a superior organization like DARPA. DARPA is a group of highly accomplished thinkers and innovators, and we are humbled by the trust they have placed in our organization.”
This rapidly developing project will be completed with DARPA’s relocation to a new highly efficient building to be constructed in Arlington County, Virginia. “Our business is built upon working with world-class organizations such as this client to achieve their organizational objectives with a timely and value driven approach,” Anderson commented. “It is a distinct honor to provide our expertise in support of this prestigious agency, located right in our backyard.”
